Tour at Le Fraghe Winery: Vineyards , Winery and Tasting of all the Organic Wines
A visit of vineyards, lake, and mountains, combined with wine tasting activities.
About 30 years old, born in the heart of the Bardolino, Le Fraghe is located in one of the best winemaking regions, Cavaion Veronese. With low mechanical work and a lot of tradition, the production staff at Le Fraghe uses old vineyards, surrounded by beautiful countryside, to cultivate unique vines and produces high-quality Bardolino DOC wines
The vineyards towards the Lake Garda enjoy the Mediterranean climate and those in the Valdadige DOC relish the cools winds of the north. Matilde Poggi is the sole female owner of the winery: she did her first harvest in 1984 and since childhood, she was fascinated by vines and wines and harvested grapes with love and passion.
Today, Matilde has dedicated her 32 acres of vineyards to grow various grape varieties, dominated by Corvina, a native grape of the region and also cultivates fruity Rondinella and Garganega. She introduces in the cellar modern methods of wine production with modern stainless and concrete tanks and large terracotta amphoraes. Here, Matilde produces various types of wines, refined ,elegant and aged including luscious rose', red and white. She always kept this passion as well in the position as the president of the Italian Federation of Independent Winegrowers for 9 years and now she is the President of European Independent Winegrowers.
Relax in Agriturismo Le Fraghe. For guests, the owner has restored the old part of the winery and converted it into two two-room apartments, consists of one bedroom and a living room with kitchen, all equipped with an oven and a dishwasher. The apartments have windows overlooking the magnificent scenic beauty of the winery. Visit of the wineyards, winery and a tasting of all the wines is included if someone books the staying in flats .

Corvina, Rondinella, Garganega
Cherry red with rich purple highlights, Ròdon boasts a complex mosaic of well-defined, very fragrant aromas. Seductive notes of wild rose are the first to emerge, followed by nuances of wild strawberry and redcurrant that linger and complete an elegant bouquet. The palate displays an emphatic crispness and full body, the happy result of a perfect balance between ultra-savoury flavours and a tasty minerality, characteristics that are classic to this terroir, and excellent supporting tannins and acidity. The finish is notably lengthy, and nicely mirrors the aromas offered by the nose.
Le Fraghe Bardolino appears a purple-tinged ruby red of medium intensity. Its rich, complex bouquet is the result of a perfect blend of fruity essences such as sweet-sour cherry and blueberry, and spicy nuances of cinnamon and black pepper.
Showing straw yellow, Camporengo Garganega releases an appealing, elegantly balanced bouquet composed of floral essences of acacia and mimosa over a background of rich peach and apple, and concludes with nuances of pungent green pepper. The palate is notable for its full body, excellent progression, and overall harmony. The finish compels attention for its elegant continuance of aromas introduced on the nose.
